AFTEC is the Association for the Promotion of Equestrian Therapies in the Canary Islands.

Psycho-socio-emotional treatment aimed at psychic, sensory impaired people, with behavioral alterations, learning problems and social maladjustments. In this field of Equestrian Therapies, the activities that are carried out vary depending on the objectives of each user.

Be part of the motivation provided by the horse, to work on aspects that in the classroom, speech therapist, psychopedagogical office, psychologist’s office or family therapy, are worked in a “more formalized” way by the place established for it. With interventions assisted with horses, more satisfactory results are obtained due to the figure of the horse as a motivating agent, without forgetting the natural environment.

The user in this way, not even realizes that he is attending a therapy, sees it in a playful way, so that having that extra motivation, learning will be internalized actively.
